It seems that a good body control gets more important, especially for afro-cuba movements. I'd like to do better on that - but how???!!

Sometimes my whole body is stiff and than everything is kind of exaggerated and not connected :(
Any helpful hints?

Thanks a lot

Maybe consider taking some rhumba privates with a cuban native (be sure you find one that really can move and teach). Works wonders.

Take afro cuban body seperation class. I also recommend Shaka brown Vol. 3 with shines & body seperation.

Sekou has a great new DVD on body isolation. It is really really awesome, he breaks the body down part by part: feet, hips, shoulders, arms, body rolls. Google for it.

I'm interested in it, but i don't see anything to differentiate this DVD from any other DVD on body isolations.

Does it offer anything unique? What makes the DVD "really awesome"?

It is really awesome by itself, not in comparison to other body motion DVDs, since I haven't seen any. Although I can tell you that I took two body motion workshops this weekend, one of them being with James Cobo, but, as awe-inspiring as he is a dancer, I didn't feel I got as much detail or body broken down part by part as I did from Sekou's DVD on my first watch. But, of course, I can't speak for other *DVD's* out there...

Practise update: :D

Thanks to all, I really got a lot of help.
I started doing the excercises on a regular bases in front of the mirrow and i think my flexibility of single body parts really improved 8)

but the putting all together in danincg effect has still to become better a lot  . especially, when i dance next the rela good one i still look very &/&)($??/ :(

but i guess this is also an issue of training. so i keep on trying and hope for the best :D

Thanks for the update. Glad to see that progress is being made. I just recently decided to start working on this too. :)
