Nightcap Thread

Probably belongs in addict thread, not here, but it's sad that I read that as chachacha, and ditn't think anythign of it until I remembered name of this thread and had to go back and reread it. :)

Very nice. Had an interesting locally made white port at a tasting Saturday, thinking some may end up as part of mom's Christmas gift.

I'm not one to judge these things. Was looking for a nightcap--it beat out bourbon, scotch, sambuca, brandy, and creme de cassis. Don't particularly like it, but the best of all the options.

all of that sounds horrid but I am contemplating some cabernet for the first time in a long time...twas probably the osb thread that did it

hahah, been there, done that. :) no choice here, as only ahve one bottle of anything left, some merlot I think, it's in freezer to just chill a touch to proepr temp.

I go back and forth, depending on my mood. last couple months, I've knock ed the chill off, partly because during summer I let house get a bit warm. 15 minutes or so in freezer knocks it down to 60-65, perfect room temperature. or "room temperature" rather.

I suppose a glass of wine could have been one of the options...

But...blech. And, it's DH's last bottle of wine that he got from a trip to California. He wouldn't appreciate me opening it.

oooo, probalby wise chioce then. opening last bottle (from trip, or special case, whatever) without permission in this house will get you in big trouble. :)

Yeah... It's not as if he's a big wine fan, but he does like it now and again. This is the one and only bottle of wine in the house, it's from a trip, and we can't find it here at all. Opening it, especially without him, especially since I don't really care for wine...bad...very bad.

You could always open it and then distract him with one of those non-synchronous baths you mentioneed. ;)

yea...but sometimes men like it women are very naughty like that:cool:

Sabes que eres mexicano cuando: 2. Crees que el jugo de limón cura todo.
(You know you're Mexican when you believe that lime juice cures everything.)

It's a Mexican thing to squeeze lime juice into lots of foods and drinks. At least that was my experience in the 28 years that I was Mexican. Our niece even squeezed some on refried beans, something that nobody else in the family had ever thought of, and when my father-in-law tried it he pronounced it good.

I must be part Mexican, then.
