I would love to understand if Ballroom dancing is in general a social dance in other states. Where I live it is very competitive focused and there is really no social ballroom dance community. What is it like in your area?

Most advance salseros can do both timings but in my experience prefer Salsa on 2. It is a bit more rhythm centric and "feels" better when you dance to most Caribbean salsa music tunes. However Salsa on 2 is a more difficult style to learn because of that reliance on the "tumbao". You will find...
