    It is definitely a nuisance. Few people who go out to dance socially want to see their pictures posted all over on the internet the next morning. The organizer of an event generally has the right to restrict picture taking. I think the solution would be for the organizer to allow picture taking...

    I would be careful with that. Why force someone who doesn't know Balboa to sit out three songs. In my experience the problem is the opposite: some DJs love very fast or very slow music and that is all they play all night long.

    I agree with the OP that the tanda system is a problem that keeps tango from becoming a more popular dance. One would normally take a chance on an unknown partner for one song. But who would want to commit for 3 or 4 long songs to a stranger who may well turn out an unpleasant dance partner.
