A Brief Personal Comment on the Passing of Steve Jobs.

Besides being a musician and tango dancer, I have spent most of my professional adult life as a software engineer. Although I was almost totally a PC guy, I did have some business concerns with Apple products. I very much respect what Steve Jobs accomplished, especially since his return to Apple, making the iPod and the iPhone and iPad. He was truly a genius, and the few times I talked with him I felt pathetically inadequate.

I hope Apple can continue the innovation without Steve Jobs, but it seems to me to be an impossibility....

PS. Alex Krebs has produced several tango apps worthy of a close look. Volume VII on musicallity is very, very good.

I'm also saddened by his passing. When he resigned as CEO of Apple (six or seven weeks ago,) these was a story on NPR about his legacy at Apple. Apparently, he left behind lots of ideas and a hand-picked group of successors. But ... he was the visionary. So yeah. Time will tell.

It's very, very sad. :-(

He was very visible in a positive way and could collect the attention. Apple users have been very proud of the products and being Apple users.

I have been aware of his cancer but still the loss was a shock.
