This site was started around this time in 2002. I sure do appreciate the people who have come and they contributed to it over the years. I certainly was at a different place back then. But it’s great to see that it’s kept going. It’s may be a little less active than it was before, but we still have a lot of regular members who have stuck around and I do appreciate you.

This year is an especially difficult because my mother had a stroke and my stepfather take care of himself very well so I have moved back to Atlanta where I started this site.

One thing I hope people will possibly take notice of is it really helps when we have some good thread starters who think of interesting topics. It helps people to come back to see what is new and it also can help us be found when people search for Dance related stuff. So always appreciate it if people can start some new threads. And I hope everybody is going to have a happy Thanksgiving, and a merry Christmas if you celebrate it and a happy new year too!

Happy birthday!!

Social media started becoming popular in late 2000s. That took a lot of audience away from dedicated forums for all types of activities and hobbies. Some are still going strong and the archival information is with gold.

One of the biggest problem of spaces like FB is that it is behind a wall garden. Unless posts are public you can’t see them if you are not member of the group. FB lacks functionality that a good discussion forum needs. The discussions are not interconnected. FB, Insta, YouTube are good for pros to promote their business.
