Has Buenos Aires lost its tango soul?

Who know, then! If people really are willing to pay $2,000 for a tiny fraction of that value in lessons and taxi dancing and the rest in handholding, I'm in the wrong business!
You're in the wrong business! But then, most of us are, or were, depending what you really wanted from work. The grass always looks greener elsewhere.

Work to live; don't live to work

One of my friends started tango in Havana. She says that there are more open to having women lead women there. They also have spaces like El Ojo del Ciclon El ojo del ciclon - elojodelciclon.com and outdoor milongas at Paseo del Prado. Doesn’t seem like an enormous community but she is a great dancer.
I remember watching a handful of tango couples on the Prado. I think in 2010 or 2011 and 2012, all very young. I didn’t participate. My level was very basic and I was always on my way somewhere when I stumbled upon it. I always meant to come back one day. A very beautiful place to dance. Their scene was very new back then.
