I prefer apilado and I think my partner should be able to get plenty of information without having to look at what I'm doing. Hopefully she can feel exactly what I'm doing and where my feet are, the same way I can feel what she's doing and where her feet are.

Lately, I dance mostly with eyes closed (if it is not too crowded). I found it easier to feel the lead with eyes closed.

I've found that my dance instructor sometimes does that. I hope that means that she's testing out how my lead-follow is progressing in AT, and not that she's getting bored enough to want to fall asleep. :tongue:

I think that, when women are bored with the dance, they start gazing around the room. Having their eyes closed is a good sign, at least IMO, not being a follower.

As long as it's a peaceful sleep and not a nightmare, you must be doing something right.

Well, when she makes a comment like, "your embrace feels really good right now. I'm so comfortable that I could fall asleep," I certainly hope I'm doing something right...
 
Having my eyes closed means: I put all of my attention to this dance. :)

When I had my eyes closed, I am not distracted by other people or by the leader's irrelevant motion.

Neither she nor I are the jealous type. I guess it's because we're able to find plenty of other stuff to argue about (like which one of us is having the off night).
