given the few posts over the last few days..here's an opportunity to tell us about other stuff you've been doing. for instance:

I've been reading Excession by Iain M Banks; a gripping sci-fi epic,

listening to some visceral electric guitar by Hendrix, Santana

looking at my first Iris opening in my garden..

Perhaps we've been busy dancing, not posting ... ;)

I've been sowing endless squash seedlings. Up to my elbows in clay. Failing miserably to ring various arcane bell-ringing methods correctly. Flogging my worldlies on Ebay.

Banal, isn't it?

I ....never.... watch sports but I'm enjoying the Finnish hockey success - I still have my Finnish passport! This one I couldn't resist!

Mikael Granlund Goal. Team Finland vs Russia IIHF WC 5.13.2011

Continuing on the hockey theme...been watch the Stanley Cup playoffs. Into the semi-finals now and yesterday the Vancouver Canucks won the first game against the San Jose Sharks. First time in 17 years the Canucks have got this far.

Go Canucks Go!

Competing my dressage horse in an eventing competition - scary. I mean REALLY scary! Nobody understood my reference to being only slightly less stressful to a dance lesson with my maestro!

However, it makes me respectful to the importance of the aids (leader) to my talented, gorgeous (but totally clueless) horse (follower-me!)

Work, dance, be with husband and daughter, cook, wash, clean, surf internet, resolve internet/computing issues for parents-in-law over phone (I am the IT support for the entire extended family). Have just finished reading Amy Tan's Saving Fish from Drowning (my subway reading material). Recognized from her writing that as we age, we become more forgiving toward blemishes in human nature.
