Musicality isn't an instrument to perfect AT. Musicality is universal; even your Viennese waltz will benefit from it.

Yes, if you dance the Viennese Waltz. But it's not about that; it's about AT.

Of course, if you have other dance interests, then musicality can assist those. Why would I specifically learn, say, disco structure, if I have no interest and no interest in dancing 'disco'? Hardly 'universal' unless you aim to be a general musician (and they don't always make good dancers).

You reiterated your position. Therefore, I'll reiterate mine as well. In my opinion, musicality training shouldn't be used teleologically, neither to improve tango dancing, nor for Viennese waltz or foxtrot. However, this could potentially be a side effect.

I don't go with along with it just for its own sake for the majority. Life is too busy and we can't fit everything in. I'd like to get back to quantum mechanics and differential calculus, along with other languages, coding, some work around AI, along with dancing. The allotment needs tending. I've got more seeds to plant. There are numerous jobs around the house to be done. We all need a motivation - and the luxury of time. Meals don't get prepared and cook themselves.

Great if you have the luxury of an ivory tower with servants and funding to study, and perform, your musicality.

It's a worthy, but unrealistic and unsatisfied, wish to consider musicality training in a pure teleological (intrinsic) way. The real world kicks in - hard. But, teleology also identifies an extrinsic purpose for (nearly**) everything - in my case: to dance AT better.

**I'm sure slugs have a purpose. I'm uncertain about some politicians. Is a positive purpose a requirement?
