I agree they are a very well made shoe. I have tried them; they run narrow and she doesn't do any open toe shoes in a heel height I can wear. I tried 4 different styles and couldn't do it. I also absolutely hate platforms and find them incredibly uncomfortable.

To each her own I'm afraid, but I'm glad you like them and they work for you. I've seen similar styling done by Arika Nerguiz shoes, so I wonder if they were doing the manufacturing for her?

Thankfully there are other options. Most good shoes are all going to be in the same price range here in the US, and Werner Kern is just as well made. So I'll stick with that and the rare Greta Flora when I can find it in my height and style.
 
The reason you see the same shoe styles in Arika Nerguiz as Robin Tara is they are the factory in Montevideo that made her shoes. The applied for a patent and have the exclusive right to make tango shoes in Uruguay. They saw the market for tango shoes and used her designs among their own.

My mouth dropped when I saw Greta Flora shoes priced at 810 pesos in the Sunday magazine of CLARIN. The foreign demand for shoes is driving up the prices.

Was this really necessary? I don't mind discussing things, but truly, is it necessary to make an argument or accusation out of even shoes?

It's not like I like or want to pay that much for shoes. I am an artist and dancer and I am poor. But it's not worth the way wearing cheap shoes (and some expensive ones) screws up your feet. My feet are already broken, thank you.

They are the ones who decide how much to charge, and they could have sold them to their vendors cheaper so the price doesn't get marked up so much here and not so much import tax would have to be paid so I'm unsure why you make it seem like the dancers are the ones to blame for the prices.
 
Ladies, I decided to auction my lower heel tango shoes (used). Will put them out on eBay this weekend. Please look it up whoever already bought shoes from me, or send me a PM if interested.
 
I bought a pair of tango shoes in Toronto Tango Congress, the shoes are very comfortable, and good-made and the price of course is very attractive. I don't think many people know this Tango shoes. My shoes look gorgeous!!! I love it!

The shoes name is Natural Spin Dance Shoes. Price is pretty decent but quality is very good!!!
