South America To Learn Tango

I am going to be going around south america in the next couple months. I am not however going to Argentina (too cold right now). Ill be going all around peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Venzula and maybe panama and costa rica.

Has anyone traveled around here and do you know any good places to learn tango in those countries.
 
I've been to Peru - 2 nights in Lima - one trip to the Gold Museum, Cusco, outlying Inca related sites, and Machu Picchu of course.

Buenos Aires is really ground zero for AT, and It was pretty obvious that BA is culturally very different than, say, Lima. But maybe someone knows places in the countries you are visting.
 
If you are interested in the Inca culture, Cusco is a must. From there you can visit sites "near by."

I put a lot of time into that article and most of the pix are mine.

I found the Gold Museum to be quite interesting, maybe not enough to justify a day in Lima.

So, for me, that's all. I mostly went to hike the Inca Trail.
 
I have not been, but I've met many tango dancers here in New York City from Panama, Venezuela & Colombia. Colombia & Venezuela have placed couples who competed sucessfully in the Argentine tango world championships.

Diego Benavidez and Natasha Agudelo from Cali and Medellín are based in Bogotá Colombia where they teach and dance the Villa Urquiza style of Argentine Tango. They are the 2011 Champions of Tango Salón at the Tango World Championships in Buenos Aires. Orlando Reyes and Adriana Salgado from Bogotá Colombia are based in New York City. They are the 2011 Stage Tango Champions of the New York Hustle Congress. Together they dance to the Argentine Tango rhythms of Vals At the "Amarra's Milonga" hosted by Yesim "La Turca" at Dancesport Dance Studios. Saturday, October 1, 2011. New York City
