I personally feel that I learn a lot from advice offered to the other half - it increases my knowledge of what the ladies are trying to do, and enables better understanding of what we are trying to create together.

That's good. But in this instance, there was no advice offered to the other half. Are you saying you often attend workshops where a lot of teaching is directed at the ladies?

I wouldn't say that I often attend workshops, but when I do the advice offered to the ladies is less likely to be a repetition of things I already know, and thus more likely to be an opportunity for me to learn something newly enlightening for my role as a dancer and leader.
