Tribute to Skippy Blair

Since I am doggedly pursuing (as best I can) the history of West Coast Swing and related subjects, and because I think my attendance at two Skippy Blair Intensives were well worth the time and money, and I think her written materials on WCS and dance in general are excellent ...

I'd like to share this tribute to Skippy that appears to have been made in conjunction with the recent event in Monterey.

Skippy turned 90 this month.

Here is some of what was planned for a Birthday Celebration.

2pm.....Doors Open - Dance & Mingle with old friends
3pm.....Music of the 50's & 60's - Arthur Murray Studio & The Early Skippy Blair Studio Years
3:30
pm...Music of the 70's & 80's - People who attended the Golden West Ballroom & Swing At The Top of the West

4:00 .....
Sharlot & Mark
- Classic West Coast Swing

Gonna try to get a play list, just for the heck of it.

I've had this ready to go and finally uploaded it. I just think it's great seeing Skippy enjoying herself.

And, geez, her birthday was on the 14th.
