Which version of Carillón de la Merced would you prefer? The one with or the one without bells.

(1968) Stamponi canta Rivero
-without bells
-with an independently oscillating and rising string arrangement
-with a voice that competes with the instruments

(1957) de Angelis canta Dante
-with bells
-with strings that accompany, accentuate, and support the melody
-with a voice in the centre of the arrangement
-with a bando-based groove

or... (other versions appreciated)

I don't like either of those versions much. Orquesta Típica Victor (Ernesto Famá), 1931 has the best bells, but my favoured version is Rodolfo Biagi (Jorge Ortiz), 1941.

Opendoor you ask about sentimental tango. Lots of them are - what do you mean in this case?

Sorry everyone, but I just don't like this piece. I just wouldn't dance to it. But if I had to, I'd prefer OTV. My personal view, of course....

generally I actually prefer romantic and sentimental tango. But there are exceptions, one is Carrielon, another Sentimental Gaucho. but on the other hand Que te Importa que te llore let me melt away.
