I hate being techno-stupid.
It baffles me how so many people just seem to understand this stuff. I can read and read and read (and have!)...and still not understand things any more when I finish than when I started. Actually, usually I'm more confused and more turned around. And I usually end up having gone from not knowing anything so not knowing what to ask questions about, to...having runs across tons and tons of stuff and terms and technobabble that doesn't make [stuff] worth of sense to me and not knowing where to start asking questions because I have questions about all of it!
I really Really REALLY wish I could learn effectively by some method other than having someone explain it to me like an idgit. Or, even better, I wish I had someone that would just take care of this [stuff] for me. Just...here's the budget/cash/credit card number, you know how I basically use things, just pick something out and give it to me once it's ready to go.
Gah! I can't tell you how much I hate feeling stupid. And, yet, I seem to spend the vast majority of my time feeling that way, despite doing things to try and fix that situation. And with tech crap...all stupid, all the time.
