Sometimes they forgive......but in "Theory" they can, and probably should. I had a student who had 3 lessons booked 2 weeks in a row at the most prime spots, and she could only make like 1 out of 3 each week.... and she would cancel last second too... She was totally okay with being charged.....

mhhhh just to let you know you shall be charged for a lesson even if you're not on a package.. most of the time the credit card info is given for that reason, to reserve the spot... this is very common practice not only in the dancing world.....dentists, massage therapists and others use...

what do you mean when you say initial programs with discounts? you mean you stop giving cash discounts after a certain period? and then you only give bonus lessons?

mhhhh Mmh.... so what you are saying is that anybody can just exploit the discount offered just because its their free will? If a person is not sure if he/she will like it, why would they sign up for a package in the first place. The package offered at a discount is a way to make it cheaper...

mhhhh Well... if the student got lessons at discounted prices, it could be as much as $10/lesson discount per lesson... then they took only 10 lessons and all of a sudden want to leave just like that, then they have to pay the difference of regular prices to the discounted prices. that makes...

I don't think there is anything wrong with people signing up for packages... I have students who compete with me, who purchase 30 or 50 lesson packages.... because they come in 3-4 times a week. Sometimes its easier to not worry about payment for some time, and you also get a discount for...

My 2cents here: As a teacher I think its all about the student at the end of the day. So we as teachers really shouldn't take it personally, although it may hurt, it actually at the end all about the student.... its their money, goal, perception, etc. Sometimes, students "believe" they learned...

no...actually my srtudio is catered to advanced and beginners as well... My argument is why should the person teaching higher levels get more... plus teachers have to teach all levels... I teach open latin and i teach wedding couples sometimes....actually some weeks, I get about 10 lessons...

Actually, my whole idea was to give the teacher a choice!! between working for a studio and being and independent. its up to him.....just working for studio he makes a little less. Maybe he doesn't want to be independent... maybe he wants me to book him all the lessons for him and for him not...
