2006 Calenders

Well, there's calenders for racing, sports teams, ect., but does anyone know where I can order one for dancing?

I have been thinking for a while about making one, but I'm a crappy dancesport photographer.

It's something I've considered doing before, but was never sure that there would be a big enough market to justify the set up expense to do it right...

It would be an amazing idea. I think that, since this year has already begun, a calendar for next year is in order. SD, I think DF will be a big enough market if advertised correctly. Don't we already sell DF t-shirts and so on? A dancesport calendar would be a hit, IMHO. Who doesn't want one?

P.s. I'm no sales advisor. I don't know how much this would cost. :???:

I have ordered calendars through ofoto.net using my existing photos. Don't remember what i paid for it, but i liked the calendar. I am sure SD and other DF members have enough nice pictures to use for calendar.

I've seen ballet calendars many times, but never other forms of dance. Did you have dancesport specifically in mind, spitfire, or something else?

I found one called Salsa Nights for 2006, but it was just in a little, local hole-in-the-wall store. Actually, here it is from Barnes and Noble (-http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/isbninquiry.asp?cds2Pid=9561&FMT=C&isbn=141621030X)

Thanks, Medira. I'm searching for this on the Barnes and Noble site, haven't been able to track it down yet - and have to go out just now - but will let you know if I get it.

Sounds good Rosa! When I googled it, there was also a result for Wal-Mart, so that may be another option.

Travel safe. :)

Jonathan, I just did a travel calendar via Shutterfly and it came out great. The printing job is wonderful, and the paper is very good quality. I'm very very happy with it. The price is $19.99 per calendar, but they had a sale a while ago where they were two-for-one. They also have volume discounts. The best thing is that you can do it all online.

I'd love to make one and sell it as a USA Dance fundraiser, but like I said I'm a crappy dancesport photographer.

The UCWDC did a calendar that sold for $20 initially, then it went to $25 . . . why I don't know. But, I think the demand was enough to make more.

You see . . . they took 12 Pro females, and those females posed from nude to provocatively attired. None were distasteful, nor showed full breast shots, nor any other part of the female anatomy that could be described as strictly porn or art! Sheets or scarves, or something covered those areas!

Many calendars were used as prizes, and they went fast. I bought three of them! I had one at work until some guy complained about it . . .

This year . . . the Pro males may do the same thing, and although I won't get one of those calendars, my wife has already reserved one!

Ideas??? Anyone???

As I was posting this thread, it occured to me that I thought I'd seen calenders created by DF along with those t-shirts, hats and other items that were being sold here.

Maybe not? no mention of it.
