Two pro/am couples from my studio are registered to compete at Nashville Starz this month, but the comp hotel doesn’t have any rooms available, so they might not be going after all.

Neither student is interested in staying at some other hotel - they want to be onsite (as I would, too). From what I understand, they sent in their registration forms and payments before the deadline, so maybe the block of rooms reserved for comp attendees just wasn’t large enough?
Idk how it works, though. I thought when you registered, the payment covered however many hotel rooms you requested in your forms, but I suppose that only happens if you purchase a comp package. And for all I know, not all comps even offer a bundled package...? My experience is very limited. I seem to remember that our OSB registration included hotel rooms at either the Hyatt Regency or the adjacent Drury Inn, but we weren’t guaranteed which one. (I was lucky both times to stay at the Hyatt - I prefer even a tiny dark closet-sized room, as long as it’s close to the ballroom and Boyko.)
