I was being taken in a dip the other day and I had my eyes open and the expresson of the dipper was..... :shock: . I then realized that I usually have my eyes closed when I'm dipped (and I think I'll keep them closed cause I just LOVE dips).

How many of you have their eyes open when being dipped? How many have them closed? Or do you usually take a peak?
 
I really love doing dips, wraps, arches/developes, lifts etc. I can't say I've ever closed my eyes when doing them....I want to keep an eye on the leader, if he gets that...:shock: expression, I know to be ready to bail! *kidding, lol!*
 
I think it depends. When your head moves like that then I think that you are bound to close them without thinking about it. I don't remember what I do for mine, but I guess I'll have to pay attention at my next private then don't I lol?

:) I just love them too!!! but I don't them with leaders I don't trust.
It's just I saw a really funny expression, I was just laughing my head off.
 
keep them open i say.. u never know .. for instance, a guy like me would take this opportunity to make faces at u while u are blissfuly unaware.. u know..tsk tsk.. ha!
 
I think I usually have them closed...I'm pretty sure.

Usually, despite the fact that I can kind of "feel one coming" it still happens so fast that I don't realize what's happening. The first time that happened I know I opened my eyes after I was all the way back, and I was very surprised to be looking at the room upside down.
 
Depends on the type of dip. But mostly I keep my peepers open for balance and what not. Sometimes, though, it's an intimate moment after a great song, and I don't want to kill the feeling by looking into the eyes of a guy who's not my boyfriend, LOL!
 
I just did it with my eyes open. Suddenly I saw the people upside-down watching me:-| . It was really strange. Next time I keep them closed.

Yupps. I have been dropped once... and fighted a couple of really unpleasant dips. (Why dont teachers teach both genders to be dipped, then most of the bad dippers whould realise they should not do them...)

I find I end up doing only with certain leaders. Some know what they're doing and don't.
