ABCD (All Balboa Camp Detroit)

Anyone else going to ABCD (All Balboa Camp Detroit)? I just mailed out my registration fee this morning and got plane tickets yesterday evening. I'm psyched! :bouncy: They've got some awesome bal'ers there. This'll be my first time going (and my second balboa-focussed event).

How was it? I heard the turnout was a little light... It was the same weekend as a few other events.

I had fun. The band was awesome. I learned lots of new moves (i.e. they didn't review the same-old same-old). I thought they were somewhat disorganized, especially in the housing realm, but then again, my only reference for comparison as far as balboa events go is Rendezvous, and Joel & Allison had every iota of that thing planned to a T. So it sets a high standard. I thought the turnout was fine. Some people commented that there weren't a whole lot of people there, but I had no trouble finding new dance partners so it didn't seem to affect my enjoyment of it at all. The people were great and the competitions were fun to watch. All in all, I had a great time. I'd recommend it.
