If have a Mac with an Intel processor and fairly recent MacOS X release (ie. Leopard 10.5), might be able to create a Windows partition on hard drive (or install 2nd drive), install Windows, and then boot up in Windows when wanted. Check out BootCamp software on MacOS X. Alternatively, can run virtual machine system such as Parallels or VMware Fusion to run Windows as a separate window instance while in MacOS X. Virtual PC software did exist earlier for non-intel Macs, but don't think its being supported any more. (remove spaces below)
