Alterations in IL

Anyone know of a good seamstress/tailor for dance dresses in IL chicagoland area? I have a latin dress that needs alterations and I'd like to take it to someone with experience in dance dresses. It's not a really pricey costume (unstoned from acapulco paradiso) but I've been waiting to hear suggestions on who to take it to. Thanks!

my pro's mother is about half an hour from where you dance and she is excellent

oooh, thanks! i'll have to get more info from you about when she's available. By the way, do you know any people that make dresses out here? I've heard of someone out in the northwest burbs but I've heard mixed reviews.

I know of an excellent seamstress about two hours outside of Chicago - but she's in the city a lot for dance events. PM me if you want more details.

She will do alterations. She has some interesting things for practice/parties in her showroom. She does not have regular hours in her showroom, so be sure to phone first.

Also, there is Show-Off in Roselle, IL. 630-894-0100. Website at showoffinc.com. Ena is the designer. I have had a few dresses made there - I went in with some ideas and a budget. We talked, Ena sketched and took a million measurements. I was happy with the dresses that I got.
