I apologize as I am sure there is a thread out there somewhere on this topic but I could not find it. I have not competed in over 10 years and am trying to ensure I understand the current requirements as I get ready to return to competition. For one upcoming competition I saw a requirement for an amateur to be registered both with USA Dance and NDCA. It had been my understanding that the requirement was to be registered with the amateur's home country amateur association - I thought that was USA Dance. What are the current rules? Thanks.

Assuming US is your home country, NDCA for amateur (but not pro/am events at)their comps, USA Dance for theirs, and nothing for most college hosted comps.
