Hi guys,

Does anyone know any bachata video clips? It is even better if someone know some tutorials online.

I did a search in this forum, but it seems all the clips has been expired.

Any help is appreciated.

ciao

Great clip! It's ironic that I had to come here to find a clip from my own city. I wonder how bachata rueda differs from the bachata you normally see in the clubs. There's an instructional DVD on bachata now, I'll go look for the link.

If anyone can tell me the name of the song from the clip with George & Alejandra I'll probably worship him/her forever... I just fell in love with that song

OK. Now that I have 15 posts, I think I can send a URL. Here is a link to a post with a clip I posted on Salsa Forums. I just checked the link in that post, and the video clip is still there.

Thanks GTO Bruin. Those are great clips.

Any other clips anyone ?

thanks

The song is "Amiga Veneno" by Zacarias Ferreira.

By the way, you don't have to worship me forever....as long as you merely name your first-born child after me, then I'll consider us even. ;)

I'd really love to be able to do Bachata, it looks amazing. How would you go about learning it, if you're from a Salsa background?

What kind of La Bachata do you want to learn? If you want to learn the kind of Bachata they dance in the DR, where the dance was created and the music comes from, it will take you 2 minutes to learn 1-2-3 tap.

On the other hand, if you want to learn the kind of bachata that has recently emerged out of the ballrooms and dance schools of the USA and other places with the swing turns or the Rueda Bachata, then you may need some instruction or the DVD$$$$.

Bachata is a dance that comes out of the brothels of the DR. As it's danced there, it is an intimate dance that is not intended for show or performance (something prevalent in other countries like the USA). It is a simple dance, maybe because hookers don't go to dance school. That said, there is some innovation. However, you can learn to dance it there in 2 minutes and dance with anyone on the island. If you did the ballroom type that people are making money from here, many people would not be able to follow you (especially outside of Santo Domingo) but they would probably think it looks really cool.

That said, good luck!!!!
