Was anyone else surprised by the world championship pro smooth results? Most notably, Nick and Viktorija beating out Mazen and Izabella (who, to my knowledge, have been dominating ever since the Perzhus retired), and then some variation in the dance placements for 2/3 and 4/5? Also the Zharinovs evidently didn't attend, but I think they were out for the past year or so due to injury.

Shocking as it was based on precedent, it made sense from an audience perspective on the night -- they looked great in the quarter and semi but just seemed to lack energy in the final. Nick and Vika were in top form, though, and looked resplendent in their (afaik) new costumes.
