Anyone Going to CITA 2006?

I'm so excited. I just booked the air tickets to Buenos Aires. I'm actually arriving the week before CITA and only able to attend the first couple of days of the Congress.

If anyone else is going at that time, maybe we can share notes and research.

Ampster, It's my understanding that Seattle and Portland are among the best cities in the world for AT, so you have year around great dancing and I think the envy factor should not be that great. I have been reading your posts and I have been envious of the ease which you have had in picking up AT. It's been really hard for me (like, going down line of dance without just walking.)

From what I've seen so far, once you get to BA, the costs are quite low. I had hoped to use frequent flyer miles to get there, but no seats were available when I had time off, so hopefully next trip 8).

new-ish. I've always wanted to go to BA and see Fromboli, and Salas (and Carolina... rrrr) in their own element. I tried this year but could'nt coordinate my schedule well enough. Thus the envy.

Seattle, WA and Portland, OR are great since we do have an AT following in this part of the world. It is sooo cool.

As for the ease of picking it up. My advise is, be patient, watch and learn. Then practice. A time will come that you will know the steps, but the key to ArgenTango is to "Let go" and dance with the soul. Lead with the soul and your center. It'll happen.
