Arunas Bizokas & Katusha Demidovs Waltz WSS 2008

WSS 2008 on Youtube

I have nothing to say......

Any attempt to describe this waltz with adjectives will result in failure.

My favorite couple this year was Jonathan and Hazel. Their foxtrot and quickstep I especially enjoyed. There was so much "fun" in their routines, and I have never seen Hazel like this. I feel like neither had much to lose, and they went out there and had a blast, and it really showed.

I agree totally! I saw them at Embassy and their performance outshined any other couples on the floor. They placed only 2nd, but they're definitely my winners.

I do love this waltz by Arunas & Katusha. So beautiful. That's their best performance I've seen (not that I have seen too many - only saw them in person at their OSB debut, Embassy and then glimpses of their performance in blackpool & UK Open video).

I agree Arunas and Katusha look extremely beautiful together. Man, Arunas is becoming one of my role models. Powerful and elegant looking. Very good waltz.

I don't seem to think they have a timing problem. I have the original DVD and think they are perfectly on time, including the opening natural, which looked fabulous.

As I pointed out in post #11 of this thread above, it is ridiculous to judge timing from youtube (and similar) videos.

Yes, I love this music too! The song is Amore E Musica, and the artist is Russell Watson. It is available on iTunes, but the version in the video seems to be slower -- perfect for slow waltz. If anyone knows where to get the version in this video, please let me know.

I found the slower danced version in The Best Of Ballroom Part 12.

Just saw this in person last night at Big Apple dancesport challege. Fantastic!!! much better in person than in video...absolutely smooth and beautiful natural pivots!!!! Katusha is as light as a feather! they don't have any problem with music, it must be the video.

The "Part" numbers on the CM CDs are not unique. It's the volume number you want to quote. The even numbers are standard, the odd numbers are latin.

Have you got the Volume number?

Thanks!

Which DVD is this? Is it for sale anywhere?
