B-B-B-Bad to the Bone! ;)

I have a really cool number that I will be performing this year in my studio's showcase. The song is "Bad to the Bone", the Molly Hatchet version (dont be fooled by the name - hes a guy with a raspy voice!).

After only dancing ballroom a year, I am really excited and I am performing my first two lifts in this number - one of which is overhead. :o

But I am having a lot of trouble finding a costume that I really like! :(
Since it's a "tough girl" kinda song, I thought that I'd like a black (maybe even pleather resembling) costume, but my coach told me it would be hard to see me with the dark background of the stage.

Anybody have any ideas for a costume with bright colors incorporated that still gives a "tough girl" effect?... And is still appropriate for lifts?

Thanks!!!

Arrgh, I can't imagine anyone but George Thorogood singing this . . . .

Ripped jeans. Stretchy ones.

Pleather that is the first I have hear of that...is that pretend leather? I am guessing. I would agree with Gracie that it would be hot. but could be a very good look

I think it's short for polyester leather but I could be wrong.

Pleather is the look of tanned hides, and Ultrasuede is the fake suede or brushed back side of the leather

Here's a link to a fabric site with some listed

It's commercial so make the necessary edit to the link before clicking
