Bachata/AT Fusion?

This is bachatango, a mix of bachata and tango born in Italy a couple of years ago. I think it will become a whole dance by itself but instructors have yet to define precise syllabus before. The dance is still in development.

On that basis, I suppose tango is still in development too.
Tango evolves, there are already common figures that instructors can pass down to their attendees. On the other hand, bachatango really needs such common and specific figures prior to become a whole new dance rather than just mix.

Haha, excellent description :)
Btw, I'm not familiar with regular Bachata. Any videos you recommend?
As a tango dancer, you won't like "regular" bachata that is close to street dance. I don't either. As I don't like samba from brazil but do love the international samba "reworked" by english instructors. However, I had found rare bachata by skilled dancers (ballroom dancers?) but I can't remember how I found it.
