Bachata Clips (two included!)

Let it be known that i'm a hardcore salsa fan and i had never considered dancing anything else UNTIL one fateful night a few days ago when a very pretty girl asked me to dance bachata with her.

I was instantly converted 8)

The song was Obsession by Aventura, and now i'm truly obsessed with Bachata, even going so far as having my MALE instructor bachata with me (in private lessons of course!) so that i could learn the correct hip movement.

And so for everyone else who loves it too, i present the following two clips (which give a fair representation of how the bachata scene here dances it). For anyone who doesn't know the Obsession bachata song, it is played in the second clip.

I second that.
I learn some basic steps recently and just love dancing it.
Bachata is even played in the ballroom dance clubs here.

Man do I love bachata. In germany it's played nearly everywhere and most people love it. But there nearly no lessons - "learning by doing"

count me in with the bachata fans. It was ok until I danced with someone and the chemistry was just amazing. I think he helped me "break free" and I've had a few guys since say how much they love dancing bachata with me.

I'm having the same problem viewing the clips. I love bachata and picked it up by watching others dance at the clubs; I would like to take some formal lessons though.

Seems like pretty normal bachata dancing to me. We play bachata at our salsa parties when people want to chill out from dancing too many salsa duras... 8)
