ok...my friend is 15 and hasnt had any ballet training at all... she wants to know if its gonna be hard for her and what class to join... i cant explain it to her because the classes at my studio are auditioned for and have age restrictions eg beginners in for little kids and so on...

what are other ballet studios like???

I don't think 15 is a bad age to start ballet; ReneeJoan, a fellow DFer, started ballet when she was pretty grown up and loves it. Ballet takes a lot of effort and discipline, as you know, but if she really lieks it I think she'll adjust. Tell her to make freinds at her school ASAP!

Depending on what she is wanting to achieve - 15 can be old to start ballet - prima ballerina's tend to start as young children to train their bodies.

As to classes - most studios I know of run adult ballet classes for those coming to ballet later in life. Could be a good place to start - if she wants to improve faster then private lessons may be the way to go

The studio I take ballet and jazz at has a ballet 1 class perfect for someone like her.

You might need to try a few teachers/studios to find a good fit.
