Anyone know about this congress and where anyone can attend or are they open to invitees and is it possible to get videos of these lectures.
 
BDF? I assume you mean Blackpool Dance Festival? If so, we have several members that know a lot about the event....perhaps they could answer your questions....
 
The next BDF Congress will be 29th and 30th May 2010. Anyone can attend - I always go.

Most websites stock the DVDs, but they only generally tend to stock the most recent years, so it would depend on how far back you would like to see. You should be able to get hold of the videos from about 20 years or so back, Dereck Brown is the guy who produces them, and he has told me in the past that he has quite an archive! If you were to put 'Dereck Brown Video Service' into a search engine it should bring up his contact details.

The major soc. in the UK also have Bi and annual congresses, and guests are usually welcome ( paid up members ,are free ) they list the dates on their sites. IDTA is in Southport on July 4-- 7th.. UKA and ISTD also have a similar set up..

Just realised.. do you mean the Ballroom Dancers Federation ?
 
I referred to the Ballroom Dancers Federation in my post.

I live in Southport, and wished to attend the IDTA Congress last year - was informed I had no chance unless I was a member.

You could have come as my guest ( or other members) and you said the BDF, which someone replied as the B/pool festival.. same initials..
 
We have got to watch the last few years of the Congress tapes, they are very good I enjoy watching them always something to learn.
