Beginner - how to deal with difficult instructor?

Teaching a group class well is a lot harder than teaching a private lesson well. One on one, you can make adjustments to the student. A group, you've got to find that sweet spot where you help the most students learn, and have enough charisma to keep them interested.

That is true, but there are still good and bad teaching techniques.

Surely there are good and bad teaching techniques

The point is - since it is considerably harder to teach a group effectively, it's even harder to find a good teacher for the group than for privates

The way a teacher teaches says as much about them and their agenda as about you. I had some bad instructors who I felt were well intending with good info. I chose to overlook their short comings in those cases. A lot of times better teachers with more knowledge have better teaching methods.
