Best Online Source for Dance Music?

I've been checking itunes for some of the songs listed on our music lists and not finding quite a few. Wondering which online music stores you've had the best luck in finding ballroom danceable music on?

You can find just about all the "regulation" ballroom CD's there, and you can listen to clips from most recent issues (i.e. CD's that came out in the last 3-4 years).

Oh, sorry, I should have specified: places where you can download one song at a time, so the commercial sites.

That's a tough one
I don't think the ballroom music labels have any such arrangements for downloading individual songs.

It doesn't have to be regulation music. I was just wondering if anyone had better luck with one service over another in finding popular music that's danceable. Like if one service has more older music than another, or anything.

I use Kazaa occasionally and I did not have much luck with dance music there.

Having just spent a couple of hours pouring over Dance Shopper, DanceVision, and Casa Musica's sites, with side trips to the iTunes store, I can tell you it's not easy.

I can say that I often stumble over good songs at the iTunes store. Often the tempo's not quite right. But there's plenty of software around to fix that if the change needed isn't too great.

Something I do about once a week is visit the iTunes store "front page" and I listen to clips for the new stuff they're peddling. Every so often I turn up a song worth buying.

I find that I'm liking less and less of what's on the newest releases from the "regulation" music companies. And there's a lot of recycling going on. Surely we can't have tapped all the wells of ballroom music on the planet!

I just bought 3 standard CD's through Danceshopper. I liked I could preview what I was buying ahead of time. One of the CD's in particular was really good.

All Stars Ballroom Dances Vol. 3

It's an all around good CD for standard dances. If I had only bought one, this would have been it. I liked just about all the songs, and the waltzes especially sold it. Songs in particular I like are Watermark (waltz), Love Theme Romeo E Guiletta (waltz), Apasionata (waltz) and Moon River (foxtrot).

Ultimate Ballroom Album 8 That's Amore

There's a lot of good songs on this 2 CD set, especially the tangos. Songs I like are Vito's Waltz (waltz), Last Tango in Paris (tango), The Pearl Fisher's Tango (tango) and Lara's Theme (v. waltz).

Ultimate Ballroom Album 9 Scarlett Ribbons

I don't like the selections on this 2 CD set as well as the CD's. However, I'm not sorry I bought it. Songs I like are Pink Panther (foxtrot), My Heart Belongs To Daddy (foxtrot) and Bei Mir Bis Du Schon (quickstep).
