I've already celebrated 
A friend helped me install BootCamp on my MacBook Air, and now I can boot my favorite sleek laptop into Windows XP whenever I need to run dance competition software (CompMngr and O2CM seem to work fine).
I have declared my independence from my awful clunky nasty Compaq PC laptop!

Well today is turning out to be the most exciting 4th of July ever in almost 30 years in this area as an adult.
People come here in droves anyway - its kind of a popular/destination/tourist location - so its 'always' that way, just more so this year.
And the fireworks haven't even begun! There will be no room then.

in our little beach front town we have this one really uber rich couple who buys a jillion dollars worth of fireworks and shoots them off every year over the lake...and everyone goes out to the lake to sit and watch...we are skipping it b/c we just saw a bunch in montreal the other day...but it is a really a neat thing...

I had my "celebration"--a nice bad-for-me meal of burger and fries with ice cream for dessert. Right now, it's fingers crossed the weather will hold and the fireworks can go off without a hitch. At work we had to cancel our plans to do a city event in the park and set up our kids' activities in the museum lobby, as paper tri-corn hats don't hold up well in the rain.

I'll soon be watching the Macy's fireworks on TV. Not as good as in person but, much less of a hassle. :wink:

we had such a nice 4th and 5th...our son had a house full of friends and he cooked burgers and some sort of mixed fruit cobbler plus we took our husky for a nice walk and I went jogging and practiced my open routines...then today after an hour and a half workout...I sun worshipped and played tennis and went to the beach...am now contentedly beginning to yawn after a huge salad that was virtually all I got around to eating all day....wow...and still another whole day to go...ain't life grand?

Was on vacation during the 4th, a friend had a BBQ and then some concert videos, this though it had been raining and since this home only has a swamp cooler it was rather warm inside, but the four of us had a great time getting together.
An then it was off to Phoenix for the 4th of July WCS Convention dance, awesome as always.
