Blackberry pearl + coffe =bad

Does anyone know how for fix gadgets. I spilled coffe on my pearl this morning.. not much but the keys got a little wet.. now I cannot use many buttons as back button is shift.. when I press the little pearl I get "ou" letters each time etc.. does anyone know how to fix it.. its been 4 hours now, and it seems like its slowly getting back to normall. so i hope I will not have problems for ever... I let it sit with the keys facing down to dry for a while
 
I am not sure but I got it directly from T mobile so I think I should.. so how do you find out it it is water damage on the battery, how can you tell?
 
Might do this weekend if the phone doesnt get better till tomorrow.. Hopefully they wont tell me its water damage.. I have everything saved to SIM so I shouldnt loose anything

I'm not sure about the BlackBerry Pearl but on the BlackBerry 8800 there's a little white square in the upper left corner when you remove the battery. If the square is white, you're fine. If it's pink, that indicates water damage and so you may have to pay a lot to get your unit replaced.
 
My cell phone battery has the pink thing going on too (it went for a swim a few times:rolleyes:). It works, but the battery doesn't hold a charge as long as it should.
 
Take the battery out, dunk it in water and let it dry out completely (somewhere nice and warm).
