Blackpool Dance Festival 2011 Question

I'm planning a last-minute trip to Blackpool! The information on this page about standing-room tickets has been helpful. Can anyone recommend some good bed and breakfast places in walking distance of the event? I assume I need to reserve in advance, so some contact information would be appreciated. Thanks!

I do not think you can be picky at this point. If the situation hasn't changed since we were at Blackpool, most of the B & B's within the walking distance must have been all booked. I think you had better go to some travel websites and start to email and call right away.
 
DanceScienist, try contacting Andrew and Anna Smart of www dot worldpromotionsinc dot com. The last time I chated with them (Andrew owns a hotel in Blackpool) they had 4 rooms and some tickets still available. Good luck.

Doesn't matter if it is within walking distance. You can always call a cab from your b&b - they are pretty inexpensive. I do this anyway in the evening after the events because it's not exactly a nice place for a walk at night.

Maybe I got lucky! A search of booking.com turned up quite a few openings within 0.4 miles of the event. I booked a single for 7 nights at The Address for 175 lbs. Small place, but the photos looked inviting. :)

So, cabs are cheaper there then here? How much would a cab ride cost from Manchester airport to Blackpool?

Talking with my friend today, made me a little worried about the security of these B&B's. Would you guys leave any cameras and laptops in the rooms? It would be a pain to carry them at all times. :)
 
Quick question - what is the cost of buying standing tickets?
Going to blackpool is a dream, and I'm hoping to be able to do it next year, and am already researching how much the whole thing would cost me..
