Many DF-ers know that DH is a road trip fool. lol. nooo....seriously...he is. (much like his brother and grandfather).
I don't know what possessed me, I was to "fly" and meet him in Rhode Island in two weeks, for an ancestry trace that will take us through the New England States regarding his maternal grandparents who he never knew. We found evidence, thanks to ancestry dot com.
Instead, I changed my mind, and I'll take off with him tomorrow (Friday the 28th) and we will head up to Yellowstone National Park - across to Detroit to the Henry Ford Museum, through the north towards the east coast.
WHAT POSSESSED ME?!!!! 5 weeks with DH in car, ballroom sisters and brothers are dying with laughter, neighbors are taking bets how long we will last with each other in a small confined space....and several suggested blogging our adventures ....as neighbors know, when DH and I travel together, it's never ever boring.
Blog? no blog? hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. And for any DF-ers out there PM me if you see I'm headed across your path - I might need a friendly smile or two or three cha cha cha, even if it's just an ice tea meet up. lol, snicker.

I'd love to hear about your adventures, but I vote with fasc. Blog if it adds to your enjoyment. If blogging becomes stressful or burdensome, don't do it.

Bon Voyage!

ok, then, and thanks to all who PM'd me.
Let's start by saying this.
DH packs "his items and small stuff" into my Acadia - which has alot more cargo room than his Terrain.
DH repeats..."wow this is spacious, I'm not use to this"
Wifey brain says to self "and don't begin to even THINK your going to get use to this,,it's MY car"
Wife type me - notices a big fat nail in the right rear tire,
To DH - I say "dear, there is a nail in the tire, see?' point to nail
DH says "oh, it's been there awhile - we'll be fine"
Me to DH "really? I can take it to Tucker Tire and get it fixed NOW before we leave"
DH to ME "noooo, don't - it's ok....we'll be fine"...
Me to my brain, "this is what you said LAST YEAR when my tire pressure kept reading low and finally
went FLAT while you were on another road trip, only to discover you never moved the car to inspect
the tires and then I had to deal with it"....
Bells and whistles begin flashing in my brain...the arms of the train warning signals are coming down...
and to think....I'm riding with him for 5 weeks.
Here weeeeeeee goooooooooooo (I'm thinkin flat tire on the way to Vegas tomorrow).
tee hee.

"Thanks Fas,,,,can't afford the priceless moment of a CHP pulling up, while I sit on camping chair, looking a DH in the middle of the desert saying "I told you so, why do I always listen to you?"
Took car to Tucker Tire, did not need new tire, they repaired it and yes, the nail went through the tube and splintered.
Informed husband when I got home....he just looked at me......"priceless"...was worth it without the sands of the Vegas desert invading my body.
lol.
Off to north Utah tomorrow. Near Park City. Then Yellowstone.
nix the "I told you so"....and ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh this is nice moments to come.

Sounds like you had the best of both worlds --an I told you so moment AND a fixed tire. very cool!

Have fun tomorrow! I look forward to hearing about your trip. :)

Hey 3wishes. I'll definitely be following along for the ride (so to speak) lol. Already sounds like you're in for an adventure.
