Boys' fantasy houses

The "gifts you never got" thread got me to thinking about this: A lot of us guys, when we were young, had secret fantasies about owning houses with really cool stuff like secret underground garages with really fast cars in them, and rocket packs and helicopters hidden in the attic, and trap doors to dispose of unwanted visitors, etc. So come on, guys: what was in your ultra-cool secret fantasy house?

hmmmm...don't remember those...but my latest is house which melds into the landscape, with increasingly more openess. For instance, have a room with large windows (French doors) opening out into a 3-season room into a patio with an overhang out into the open stepping down onto another deck....then to the ground.

Oh...a digital zero energy house of course with parental controls so I can make sure the kids don't get into mischief, send them to their room and make sure they don't watch tv or leave etc etc... hmmm am I control freak...or what...

Girls also have dreams of houses .

I like the idea of large windows...floor to ceiling and the house would be by the sea, so when you wake up in the morning you don't need to get out of bed to see the sea. Glass ceiling so you can see the stars. Almost like sleeping outdoors.
And of course a pool half indoors and half outdoors.

large ballroom, greenhouse, super large library with a reading room/tower-esque room...

(as a kid, I always wanted a U-shaped house with a pool in the middle and zip-wires from one wing to the other over the pool..... or the octagonal house.... not sure why that seems equally special.... (and there is one about a 1/4 mile from me now )

Maui does have hills, doesn't it? So I can have a morning walk in the hills and then an afternoon swim.

Does anybody watch the cartoon Dexter's Lab? That's what I wanted. A secret laboratory, with access through a wall or behind a bookcase. Of course, my imaginary gadgets weren't as cool as Dexter's. But still.
