Hello guys, i found this beautiful melody called : "Tango en Skai"
and there is a video of this melody :it should be tango because it has " tango " in its name, but when i search for other tango music , i can't find anything similar.
do you know maybe what is the exact type of tango this melody is ?
Thank you very much !

Hi rian, this is Not a certain recognizable style, rather an cross over from different elements: The solo parts of the string section remind me a little bit of tango-argentino, the guitar parts remind me of tango-flamenco (tango-andaluz). And as tangomaniac wrote, there actually also is a hint of tango-nuevo in it.
Petrit Çek is a classical trained guitarrist, while Stjepan Hauser is known for his classic-pop experiments. He already recorded Piazzolla before.

Forgot to say that I tag this kind of music as "operatic". But operatic of course is not a consistent genre.
Are you dancing, dj-aying, or do you play an instrument?

And welcome to DF by the way!

I hear lots of Piazolla. There are certainly tango elements in there, plus a lot of there stuff that sounds like improvisation.

I would describe it as Tango for the concert hall. I could see a performer dancing to it, or it being played at an "alternative milonga".

I'd agree. Reminds me that all music is essentially danceable, the question is how strongly it motivates you to dance. I could see this piece, maybe, as a ballroom tango, but not as a social AT. Any ballroom dancers have a view? It seems more like something one might do as 'performance art' - fantasia.

I'm definitely a beginner when it comes to American Tango, but I don't find a strong enough beat to dance to. And I admit I probably like a stronger beat than more advanced dancers.
