Can we have dance with just the vaccinated?

Are "recovered" included yet? Rapid test wouldn't work - the vaccinated could still be carriers, so even if you've tested negative, you could still catch it from the vaccinated. Also, would the excluded forgive the organizer? Should it be done in secret? Do they need to require proof of vaccination?

No, it's not okay to hold a public event like this. You can't prove whether people have been vaccinated / previously infected or not and are therefore giving people a false sense of security.

Event should be either completely open or private and invite-only.

Those who are vaccinated are protected from the worst effects of the virus. But you can still become infected even if you have been vaccinated. And if infected and vaccinated, it isn’t clear to what extent you can infect other people. I am mostly concerned about that aspect. I don’t want to contaminate friends or family if they have not been vaccinated yet.

Personally, I won’t participate in a milonga before the vast majority of the population is vaccinated. Probably not before July-September thus.

First, it depends on legalities and guidelines in your locale.

Second, how would you know, and would you trust them or their documentation, or any organiser really checking? We still don't have all the info on transmissibility and the vaccines - but it's looking good. Personally, given the desires of some just to dance with others again irrespective of risk, I'm more concerned about the risk to me and the effectiveness of my vaccination.

So, no, I wouldn't participate with just the vaccinated.

Given a low infection rate in the locale (which could be a whole country or country-group) - which implies no passing strangers, and my vaccination, then the risk might be acceptable to me irrespective of others' vaccination status. I'd prefer to avoid the tin-foil hat anti-vaxxers. There are few real reasons not to get vaccinated.

As time goes on I'd be more concerned about the vaccine protection waning, and the need to protect against variants.

We're going to have to learn to live with this for some time; a gathering of 'the vaccinated' might be a good test group, but not one I'd rush to participate in.

I am not opposed to that kind of discrimination as a matter of principle. But I am not convinced that this is the right way to go for me personally, even if I would be vaccinated.

The CDC have issued guidance that allows "fully vaccinated" to get together without masks.
For restarting my own dancing, I plan to only dance with people I trust to tell me whether they also qualify as fully vaccinated.
The prevalence (cases/100k/day) will have to be very low and 2/3 of the adult population fully vaccinated before I'll consider dropping this requirement.
"Fully vaccinated" is two weeks after the final dose.

I think we should support the measures lowering the numbers to avoid as many fatalities as possible. But we will not get 0 Coronavirus in the world, and anyway there will be always some viruses going around. In Germany the number of deaths is lower in the first 2 months of 2021 than in other years simply because we did not get infected with other viruses (as Influenza) which are always going around and are usually fatal for risks groups.

We will have to live with some Coronavirus and also everybody will have to decide for herself/himself to get vaccinated or not, participate in events with big crowds, take all hygene precautions etc.

By discriminating people based on being vaccinated or not sounds like in a frighetening apocalyptic story. While I will take it for myself and everybody in my family, too, I would not pass the judgement on the people who do not want to take it. This Vaccination pass scares me to death. I can see some big cases being brought to court in the name of freedom as basic human right.

I would rather exclude the predators from Milongas :-)

I would dance with anyone who showed up on a milonga, regardless of their vaccination status.
I am not going to be vaccinated any time soon. (low priority + vaccine shortage + natural antibodies)
Good point! I would be supposed to wait until October to dance.
Oh, you were infected already. Lucky one.
