Carrie Ann Inaba one of the judges in Dancing With The Stars, is a naturally feisty character and along with her stunning good looks isn't afraid to say what she means or tell it like it is. If she doesn't like something, she'll let you know, even if it may hurt your feelings.
But what she doesn't tell you is that Carrie at one time dated Harry, husband of Lisa Rinna, who happens to be one of the contestants in the show. Now, that might hurt her feelings...

What do you think?

i was wondering if you normally browse this site for the articles, or the pictures? <grin>

personally, if the scoring on the part of all three judges were less questionable in general, we'd have more to be concerned about in terms of impartiality.

Yeah. I'm not quite sure how the judging is being done. Sometimes I agree with the judges. But, other times I think, "Where the heck did that score come from?" :?

Yes, I didn't think of this being a big deal either. I just thought it was interesting. Aris is an amazing ballet dancer (and other stuff too) here in Atlanta, and my wife saw this on his site, so said: "I should post that on Dance Forums!" :)

I think there's a bigger issue, though. Since the world of competition ballroom is so small, I'm quessing that questions about bias probably come up pretty frequently. Everybody knows everybody, or has coached or taken coaching from everybody else.

So how do you eliminate or minimize the impact of biases on the whole judging process?

That is the $64,000 Question.

Lisa Rinna's husband, Harry Hamlin, used to be married to actress Nicolette Sheridan. When I was getting married and shopping for a florist, I was going through this one woman's portfolio and lo and behold there were a bunch of pictures from Harry & Nicolette's wedding.

This was over 10 years ago though. Harry & Nicolette aren't married any more, but I'm still with the same guy :-)

I surely don't think that Carrie Ann is biassed. I agree with her the most of all three judges.

i haven't seen all the shows this season, but that's my take as well. but maybe it's better to say that i have disagreed with her the least.

i rather doubt that carrie ann is particularly concerned about opinions made by certain people. i also doubt that carrie ann's opportunities will diminish in any way as result of her being on DWTS. and *that* must really rankle for anyone who can't remember that it's just a ^%#$@ TV show designed to get massive ratings.
