Change

How open to change are you in the various aspects of your life? One of the best books I came across on dealing with change was "Who moved my cheese!" It was a "silly" story about some mice and cheese but the underlying theme was a very real one and resonanted with many people so that it was a huge success.

I think the world/life/society/the workplace has evolved such that a person has to be able to change and rethink how and why they do things. The days of "if it ain't broke, why fix it" have long gone, that is if it ever really existed. I have often heard that companies/organisations who were not constantly look to evolve/develop their products and services often got left behind by the competition. (If their research showed there was no need for change at that point in time, is different to being complacent about change.)

maybe it's time for a change :P

 It serves its purpose quite nicely

Anyway, who else knows about your "prediction"? It is not a prediction, unless it is public/general knowledge... or is it?

That was a really good story -- fable, I guess? :? Short, to the point, and profound. All the foolow-up workshops and book sequels got to be a bit overdone, IMO. But the original was definitely the good stuff. It got the point across.

hmmmm...another book to add to my reading list for sure...one of these days...one of these days...

Yes, because with all "good" books, or should I say "well behaved" readers  they will:

- read (10 mins  )
- ponder, try to see (and possibly deny) how the contents of the book could possibly apply to them  (two weeks)
- decide that the contents of the book does apply to them and therefore involves CHANGE  (another two weeks or so)
- discover that they have forgotten what the book was about/what the lesson of the book was supposed to be
- decide to wait a few months to New Year's Day to make resolutions to either, and or, reread the book and apply the "lessons" of the book, thereby bringing about CHANGE in their lives
