There are a couple of classic movies airing on TCM this month with good dance clips of original Lindy Hoppers from the era...

Kid Dynamite - (Tue 9/14 at 9:45am) - Dance contest scene. Background dancers to keep an eye on include Dean Collins & Jewel McGowan. Foreground dancers add great comedy relief.

Jive Junction - (Fri 9/17 at 8am) - Great dance clip (one of my favorites)! Dancers include Bob Ashley & Jeanne Phelps Veloz, Don Gallaher & Irene Thomas, and Lenny & Kay Smith.

Jive Junction tends to be a rare one to find, but offers a great dance clip... worth setting the VCR, DVR, or Tivo for.

And, aghast!!!, there are a few of us who still don't have cable. I seldom miss it and am only sorry when somebody recommends something (like old dance movies) and I know not to get excited about it.
