..here again we talk of a different dance...what you are referring to is something VERY different from the culture that produced the golden age of AT music and dance. We are arguing peaches and oranges. I'm beginning to think that I could only be happy in a forum for traditional A.T. social dancing ..(even though the word 'traditional' will probably be challenged by those who don't want any distinctions made ever nor that anything even exists to differentiate the TWO approaches/dances).

You're still not making any sense to me...

Do you mean the different ("original?") culture that produced the dance wouldn't have the follower taking over the lead? In which case, your comment "yeah right if they are both men" doesn't make any sense.

Or do you mean the different ("original?") culture that produced the dance wouldn't have two men dancing together? In which case...um, that just contradicts pretty much everything I've heard about the origins of AT. Even as told by genuine Argentines. ...granted, those were Argentine teachers, so I'm sure they were just out to try and scam me into buying more lessons.

I just don't seem to be able to make any sense when I'm sober...and I'm not ready for any tequilla for a couple more days...at least.
 
I think in order to compare, a man's shoe would need to have a 5" heel to maintain the same proportionality as a woman's shoe.
