Competition Makeup

MAC and Sephora also have long lasting lip stains.
Sephora's Cream Lip Stains are INCREDIBLE; they also just added 27 new shades. And MAC's liquid lipsticks stay on forever. Lime Crime's Velvetines do too, but that company is super sketchy.

Hey all - question on makeup trends... I do ballroom makeup - both mine and others. Most of my references have been Eastern Europe- based makeup vendors, which tend to be mostly WDSF. There is a certain look - with heavy eyeliner and blinding white highlight on the browbone. I've seen this in some WDC as well. I got some feedback on my personal look that because I'm such a powerful dancer, a softer makeup look might be a good contrast. I was wondering if the WDSF look is a little too heavy for pro-am here in the states, or if that trend is starting to be more widespread?

Personally, I find it a little much for pro-am. I'm okay(-ish) with it on high-level ams and pros, competing late at night - but it doesn't suit every dancer, nor, IMHO, dancers over a certain age.

When I went to Blackpool for the May festival to watch this year the biggest trend i found in ballroom was colour on the eyes and a dark grey or brown blending it out so it looked very soft but striking. There was brow highlight but looked softer like using a matte whit instead of shimmer. Latin on the other hand blinding highlights and heavy black eyes with some type of metalic.
