Competitions in the Mountain West

I am searching for collegiate competitions in the Mountain West/West area of the United States (Idaho, New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, Arizona, Oregon, Northern California, or Arizona). I am having a difficult time finding out information on any competitions. We are not a huge team, so any collegiate competition, big or small, endorsed or not, would be great. Does anyone have any information regarding any competitions or contacts/websites about competitions that our team can find some info on? I know there is the competition website on here, but it didn't really have what we are looking for. Thanks in advance!

In Utah:
BYU has two comps a year - October and March?
UVSC has one in February.
Center Stage (the Orem studio run by Rick Robinson and Mrs. DelGrosso)has one. . . I have no idea what month, but they have one.
Thanksgiving Point runs one or two a year.
Sometimes USU has one.
It's seems like there are more, but I can't recall who/where.

Also, BYU-Idaho has the Viking Challenge sometime around Easter, usually.

To my knowledge, there are not any in Wyoming.

Oh, and don't forget Nevada. Vegas is only a 5-6 hour drive from Salt Lake, and they have several comps (including one hosted by UNLV).

I suspect that if you contact one of the directors for BYU or UVSC ballroom teams, they'd probably share what information they have with you.

There is the gem state classic in Rexburge in February..I am not sure if it is limited to Idaho state colleges or not..i believe utah state's team has gone up for it in the past. It is not the same as the viking challenges held there in December and April. My team is going..i like to think the more the merrier. I am not sure who you'd contact for that information. My best guess would be Shawn Fisher. He was the head of the dance program at BYU-Idaho in Rexburg last I heard.

The Seattle chapter of USA Dance is fairly active in organizing comps. They have a "Quest for the Best" series that may include teams. You can do a Google search to find it.
