yes, sorry. um, i have two major problems right now. dipping and waltzing. only recently have guys started to dip me, so i'm not that experienced, which may very well be the problem. anyway, i was told once to not bend back when being dipped, but to keep my body as straight as possible. i tried this last week, and my partner reacted with "Augh!", which i'm assuming means he was hurt. the problem is, i'm not sure what i did wrong. maybe i threw myself back by accident and that's what the problem was. i guess my question is... how do i prepare for a dip? and should i be staying as straight as possible or bending back? i know this explaination is probably really vague, but if anyone has any suggestions, i'd really appreciate them. it's not fun having no idea what i'm doing wrong.
my other problem is with waltzing, but i'll post that in the waltzing forum.
oh, and one more thing. when swinging, i sometimes find my feet slipping out from under me. i'm not sure if this is me, or my shoes. i was told to put resin on my shoes, like what gymnists use, but i didn't want to buy anything until i had second opinons. is resin the best thing to use, or should i just get new shoes?
