Dance Floor @ Home

Has anyone out there installed a dance floor at home? We've just ripped up the carpet and have gone looking at different types of wood floors to install (solid, laminate, floating, etc). We will be using this for our own practice and are planning on hosting a weekly AT Practica. We would be interested in hearing what other folks have done, has it worked for you, what would you do differently, horror stories, etc.

Thanks!

If you haven't already installed the wood flooring, I recommend that you look into cork tile or planks. That's what we have installed. Cost is about the same as the higher-grade laminates.

Be still my heart... <sigh>

When are we going to see you and your Fred Astaire dancing?

first comp will be last w/e in jan at the northeaster open... will you come watch? :D

<sorry for hijack...here... will keep on topic... "gee, i wonder what kinda flooring they use in the stamford sheraton ballroom?"> <g>

I'd love to come see you dance but, I'm performing in a showcase with another teacher of mine. We'll be doing a West Coast Swing.

<unhijacking thread now>
